A digital media innovation leader with over two decades of experience, Julie Kerr has been at the forefront of the industry's evolution, driven by a strong commitment to digital transformation and a concern for a sustainable Canadian media industry.
Her extensive experience in digital transformation emerged during the disruption of the news & magazine sectors at TC Media & Rogers. This was followed by direct work with brands as Vice President of Media Strategy for Glassroom and GroupM.
At the CBC, Julie is currently leading the transition of media investments from traditional linear broadcast to new digital streaming products. Her focus on responsible media & sustainability initiatives is further demonstrated through her role as Acting Chair of IAB Canada’s Responsible Advertising Center of Excellence, where she oversees the AI & Emerging Platforms, DEI, and Sustainability committees. Driven by a curiosity to understand the impacts of AI on consumer media engagement, Julie's passion for exploring the cutting edge of media technology and audience engagement makes her a compelling voice on the future of broadcasting.
