BDU
Broadcast Distribution Undertaking - Regulated broadcast distribution company.
BVOD
Broadcaster Video On Demand - On-demand video from traditional broadcasters.
CMS
Content Management System - System for managing digital content.
CPM
Cost Per Mille - Cost per thousand ad impressions. It’s the main currency in programmatic buying, used to assess campaign efficiency.
CTV
Connected TV - TV connected to the internet for streaming digital content.
DAI
Dynamic Ad Insertion - Real-time ad insertion into video streams.
DSP
Demand Side Platform - Platform used by advertisers or agencies to automatically buy ad space across multiple digital inventories, based on audience data.
EDR
Entreprise de Distribution de Radiodiffusion - Broadcasting distribution enterprise (virtual or traditional).
FAST
Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV - Free live streaming TV supported by ads.
Linear TV
Linear Television - Traditional scheduled broadcast television.
OEM
Original Equipment Manufacturer - Original manufacturer of devices, often TV makers.
OTT
Over-The-Top - Over-the-top - refers to movies and television shows that are delivered directly to users. Instead of requiring a cable or satellite television subscription, OTT content can be downloaded and viewed on demand. Popular OTT media includes Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now. Free services like YouTube and Vimeo are also considered OTT, although they compete less directly with television providers.

Smart TV

SSP

Transactional Video On Demand - Pay-per-view video on demand.

Video On Demand - On-demand video content.
VSDA
Vidéo sur Demande par Abonnement - French equivalent of SVOD.
